Arthur Branwell & Company was established in 1904. Over the course of the last century, while maintaining a position as a leading trading house for a range of specialised commodities, the company has evolved into a renowned manufacturer of functional food additives working with and supplying international food processors with Luxara brand ingredients.

The principal manufacturing base was established in the UK during the 1960’s when processing and warehousing facilities were set up at Braintree, Essex. Subsequent expansion of the site and continued investment has resulted in the modern food factory and storage facilities in which the Luxara range of ingredients are manufactured today.

In the early 90`s the company also invested in a manufacturing facility in Greece which ensures an uninterrupted supply of Locust Bean Gum, an important strategic raw material.

The company still maintains its historic trading routes, continuing to supply those specialised commodities in which we have dealt since our inception at the turn of the century. Indeed, many of these commodities now constitute the building blocks for our specialised texturants and stabiliser systems.
